Andrej started his full time employment in pharmaceuticals with preparation of chemotherapy medication and hospital grade nutrition.
He soon realised working in a laboratory environment was not the right fit for him. He returned to Flinders University and completed a Master of Audiology in 2004. He felt the clinical setting was more suited to his personality and working with people closely is what he does best. For Andrej, being an audiologist means building meaningful connections while applying his expertise to improve clients’ lives.
As an audiologist, being able to use the formal knowledge and adapt that, as needed, to better suit individual needs is something that only comes with years of experience. Andrej has shared this experience and knowledge by helping graduates make the transition from university education to clinical practice. Over the years he has been involved with the training of 8 graduates through their intern programs to become fully qualified audiologists. Andrej is very approachable and always willing to help where he can, taking his time to listen and provide the best hearing solution to every client.
When not at work, you’re most likely to find Andrej outdoors, usually on a trail of some description. Whether it is out on his MTB with one or more of his 3 boys, hiking as a family with his wife and boys, or out trail running with a friend. Escaping to nature is Andrej’s favourite pastime.
